When i listen to quantum flux it makes me think about vast landscapes such as deserts and outer space. This is because the song is very ambient sounding which makes me feel all spaced out and lethargic. The third picture represents the existential vibe that i get from the song, it makes me question life and think about why i exist and how the universe works. The fourth picture i included represents the drug theme in the song, it has a very psychedelic feel to the song and in the lyrics the word 'dream is mentioned'. I can relate to this song because i have always had very strange dreams, and have occasionally experienced dreams whilst having sleep paralysis. This has given me some pretty scary experiences and it fits with the whole psychedelic/dream theme to the song.
The fifth picture represents anger, this is because the song sounds very loud and shouty, its very easy to get carried away and ignore the true meaning of the song because it just makes you want to scream along with all the lyrics. Picture number six represents optimism, because the actual meaning of the song is very positive and uplifting. It is about how happiness can be found in the smallest of things and to take chances and aspire to be the best you possibly can be. This can be shown in the lyrics 'why can't you see the joy of life is right before your life, infinite bliss infinite love, take a chance and just dream'. These lyrics are fairly straightforward and easy to understand but can also have a deeper meaning which is why i think this is such a powerful song.
Quantum flux is in a minor key throughout the entire song which gives a negative feel to the song which is unusual because the lyrics are so positive and uplifting, This would be why the song can give off such an angry vibe. Also the guitars are drop tuned and use heavy distortion which would add to the sense of rage. The guitars at the very beginning of the song sound very ambient and spaced out.
